|School||Cardinal Hume Catholic School|
|Current Position||Director of Learning & Teaching|
|Designation||Specialist Leader of Education|
|Designated Specialism||Mathematics and Assessment|
|Background||I began my career in 2009 as a newly-qualified Mathematics teacher at Cardinal Hume Catholic School. I had the privilege to join the Learning and Teaching Team in 2012 as a Learning and Teaching Coordinator and became Director of Learning and Teaching in 2016.
In my role as Director of Learning and Teaching my responsibilities include: leading developments in Marking and Effective Feedback, developing target grades and student flight paths in line with the KS2 to KS4 data and establishing high standards of work across the whole school.
The broad nature of my role means that I have to develop my expertise based on the specific needs of the school, so I have led developments on: promoting literacy across the curriculum particularly in Mathematics and Revision and Memorisation Techniques to help with the new linear structure of Assessment.
I have been both a coach and a mentor to a large number of members of staff both at Cardinal Hume and other schools across the alliance.
