Course Details

These courses provide high quality professional development to those teaching or wishing to teach Mathematics, Physics or MFL at Secondary School and FE Levels.
Course Aims:

  • Enhance participants’ knowledge to give confidence to teach up to and including Higher level GCSE;
  • Inspire and enthuse participants new to teaching Mathematics, Physics or MFL;
  • Provide motivating introductory activities, tasks and presentations for teaching;
  • Provide pedagogical advice and support for teaching tough topics;

The TSST course is aimed at teachers with QTS in the state sector (including secondary and middle schools, FE colleges, special schools and PRU) who are already teaching or planning to teach some Physics at secondary or FE Level. A Bursary is available upon successful completion. The FREE course is administered by the CIMT, Plymouth University, which also provides the online assessment and certification.
